New Better Jobs Ontario Program Service Standards
What Is Happening?
The ministry is introducing province-wide service standards for the Better Jobs Ontario (BJO) program, effective October 30, 2025. These standards are designed to ensure greater consistency in program delivery and to improve the client experience.
Under the new standards, applicants will receive a confirmation email within two (2) business days of submitting an application package, and will be notified of a final decision within fifteen (15) business days of submitting a fully completed package.
Where Can I Find More Information?
The BJO Service Standards can be found on the Better Jobs Ontario Application Process page of the Employment Ontario Partners Gateway (EOPG).
Who Is Affected?
Service system managers (SSMs), service providers responsible for the administration of the BJO program, and BJO program applicants.
What Should Be Done Now?
SSMs and service providers should familiarize themselves with the BJO Service Standards.
What Will Be Done Later?
Service providers should engage with their SSM to address situations where service standards are not being met.
Background
To better support clients and ensure a consistent experience across the province, the ministry is implementing BJO service standards. These standards address previously identified variations in program delivery timelines and will provide timely and reliable access to the BJO program.
