Literacy and Basic Skills Program Rebranding and Logo
What Is Happening?
The Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) program has been rebranded to Get SET (Skills, Education and Training) [Get SET] in English and parcours Réussite en éducation et au travail (parcours Réussite) in French. This name change will enhance the marketability of the program and lead to increased program awareness. A program logo has been developed in English and French to ensure consistent brand recognition across the province.
The rebranding does not involve any program design changes, and all existing Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA) terms and obligations remain the same.
Web content and Employment Ontario Information Systems (EOIS) are being updated to reflect the new program name.
Get SET organizations will receive one-time funding in their 2026-2027 TPAs to support the rebranding transition.
Where Can I Find More Information?
The new logos are now available for use on the Overview page.
Frequently asked questions and answers regarding the program rebranding will be shared on the Employment Ontario Partners’ Gateway (EOPG) as needed.
Who Is Affected?
The Get SET (formerly Literacy and Basic Skills) network and ministry staff managing and supporting Get SET organizations.
What Should Be Done Now?
Get SET organizations should start to use the new program name immediately and review all program resources that will require updates to the new name.
What Will Be Done Later?
As part of 2026-2027 business planning, Get SET organizations will be asked to include a plan for updating their program resources and an estimate of the one-time required funding for rebranding costs. The ministry will include this one-time funding in the 2026-2027 TPA. Get SET organizations are expected to complete all rebranding by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Background
Get SET (Skills, Education and Training) helps approximately 44,000 Ontarians each year strengthen their literacy, numeracy, digital and interpersonal skills through over 210 service providers, both in person and online.
Following stakeholder consultations in late 2024, network partners have supported renaming the program to better reflect its purpose and encourage participation with new learners.
Changing the program name and creating a new logo with the Ontario trillium will provide consistent brand recognition across the program and increase awareness of the provincial scope of the program.
